The River Fund Education Fund

By donating to the Education Fund, you will help support the College Scholarships, The Trade Scholarships and various Workshops for students at Telstar and Mountain Valley High Schools.

The College Scholarship provides $20,000 annually to four individual college scholars. Upon maintaining a rigorous GPA and remaining in good standing, each scholar will receive a total of $80,000 over four years. The River Fund spends $80,000 annually to support these four college scholars. We need your help to hit those costs for the 2024-25 school year.

The Jason York Trade Scholarship will provide $10,000 annually to four individual trade school scholars. Upon maintaining a rigorous GPA and remaining in good standing, each scholar will receive a total of $20,000 over two years.The River Fund will spend an additional $40,000 annually to support these trade school scholars.

In total, TRFM needs $120,000 annually to fund the scholarships. Your gift to the River Fund will enable up to eight different students from the Sunday River region to realize their post secondary dreams.

Additionally, The River Fund hosts several workshops each year which range from career exploration to providing assistance filling out FAFSA forms and college applications to making sure every student in MSAD 44 had access to the internet during the pandemic when schools were all online.
